HAIR CARE

1. WASHING

Biweekly washing with a clarifying shampoo Always detangle your extensions before washing with a wide tooth comb or a wig brush. Just as you would do your own hair wash it thoroughly to ensure there is no dirt/oil builds up or debris left in your hair. Some people prefer to only co wash using conditioner which is fine however, keep in mind that oils do build up and you would need to use a clarifying shampoo. If you want. .

2. DEEP CONDITION

Deep Conditioning is essential. Conditioning helps with detangling, defines curl patterns and retains moisture that was stripped from shampooing. Deep condition for 15 minutes and rinse in cool water.

3. DRYING YOUR HAIR

We recommend letting your hair air dry if your extensions have not yet been installed. If you’re extensions have been installed, we recommend sitting under a dryer for 1-2 hours to ensure that your braids are fully dried.

4. MINIMUM HEAT

Only use heat if you must. Especially for leave out installments! ALWAYS use a heat protectant. For the ladies who love straight hair, we recommend wrapping your hair with a few bobby pins to keep it in place to avoid daily use of heat. If you love “curls for the girls” pin curls are the Way to go!

5. NIGHT TIME MAINTENANCE

We recommend using a satin scarf/bonnet to wrap your hair at night. We also recommend satin pillowcases. The satin products will allow your hair to keep its moisture as well as keeping it soft and silky.

Curly hair needs a few extra steps. For curly/wavy hair, we recommend braiding/twisting your extensions to maintain your curl/wave pattern. Once you’ve completed the steps tell your hair up and you’re ready for bed.

7. Avoidance

AVOID Excessive product use. Avoid excessive product use in your extensions. This will lead to build up and cause your hair to look greasy and stringy.
